My Background
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a masters-level clinician licensed for independent practice. An LCSW license is equivalent to an MFT (Marriage and Family Therapist) in terms of requirements for education and supervised practice. I received my MSW degree (Masters in Social Welfare) from the University of California, Berkeley. I’ve been licensed for almost twenty years.
I’ve also worked as a clinical social worker and psychotherapist in a diversity of settings throughout the years: in hospitals, in inpatient psychiatric units, in outpatient public mental health; in employee assistance programs and in private behavioral health clinics. This depth and range of background has lent me an expertise in finding solutions to problems and situations of much complexity.
It also has given me a familiarity with many different workplace environments, which I find valuable in working with people focusing on workplace issues.
